THIS HAPPENS TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE VIDEOS OF A HYDROPLANE IN COCKPIT VIEW....

MY QUESTION ABOUT THIS IS AT 1:07...YOU CAN FEEL THE HULL ALMOST SLIDE OUT OF CONTROL...DOES THIS EXACT THING HAPPEN TO OUR MODELS? MIND YOU IVE ONLY HAD 1 RC HYDRO (MISS ELAM NITRO 15 ENGINE)

That is a cool video. I also notice his boat pushing badly in the turns.

yeah it sure is!!!

so if he was pushing hard in the turns what was the actual cause? and how could one correct that issue? if possible!

Following behind another boat maybe (less dense water). Wrong turn fin maybe ...I do not know.

Not at all. That's how hydros run - models and full-scale. These things aren't running on pavement!

You guys ever drive a kart? Watch the Dirt Modifieds? They handle the same way. Better yet, take in a full-scale hydro race sometime where you can see it firsthand.

He was running it pretty conservatively, right up until he changed lanes at the end.

bro, omg them things are loud in person....ive sat inside one before but i was like 7 years old...i could still remember the way they sound...truly sounds like a pure dragster! right? thats basically what they have running in there...MAN,,, THAT IS SOMEBAD ASS SHIZNIT!

Got 3-views? I'd like to see where they located the vent on the 2-wing setup.

I just went to google, searched for UL-8, and clicked on images. Lots of pix but nothing good on the trailer to really judge from.
