Flex shaft nut size

I need some new nuts for my flex shafts. I have a blackjack 42, sonicwake 36, miss gieco 36 and impulse 32. I think they are all the same thread. Does anyone know? Of course horizon wants to sell me the whole flex shat and all i want is a couple of little nylock nuts

I believe they are 540 thread....Contack steve at OSE...he's got em...

USA made Flex cables are typically 10-32 thread Zuber nuts and Chinese shafts for 3/16" are typically 5mm nylon lock nuts.

I figured it out they are 5M x .8

Funny I just went through this with my older Zelos and when I put a gauge on the stub it was 10-32. I think I was also told it was 5mm.

Well i just tried both and they both will thread on but the 10-32 seems a little on the tight side

If it's a Zuber nut it's suposed to be very tight. When they get loose or come not tight I use vise grips to crush them a bit.
