Hi - I am setting up a flex drive on my 25" mono and was wondering if it looks OK to you guys so far. COG is going to be about 30% from transom. Alignment is nice between motor and tube and cable spins freely with slight positive angle at strut. (not shown but take my word for it and I will post pic) - Any and all advice is welcome - Steve up in the Frozen North (Ottawa Canada)

looks like a good start, I would have mounted the motor a bit further in the back to be able to get a COG from 20% to whatever neede!

Thanks Ed - I will get 2 - 3cell 11.4V Lipos to power it up - This time I go for the cheap ones from Asia. Steve

Nothing wrong with the ones from Asia! The Zippy Flightmax from Hobbycity is dependable and strong packs at unbeatable prices. (Nothing against your lipos Steven!) We can't afford $150,00 for a 3S pack...

You'll want to be able to move your batteries foward as well to get CG about 32-34%.
Can you post a pic of how high your strut is as well please?

Hi - Here are some shots of how it's setting up. You can see I have more of a positive angle than I need I believe but I wanted that adjustability. I have a boat exactly like this I put together last winter with a "wire drive" - Works great but no ability to adjust angle. I like experimenting so I am seeing how I like "Flex shafts". I welcome your advice - I am keeping the sides totally clear so as to be able to move the batteries forward or right to the transom if necessary - Steve
