Hi guys,
I want to ask what are the differences between low and high motor timing of the bj 26. does it affects the speed of the boat or the motor rpm as it's 1500 kv...
I have the proboat programming card, and i progremmed the esc to low timing with high cutoff voltage. i run 2x2s1p 5000 mah flightpower lipo's. after long runs the motor and lipo's doesn't even warm. only 40-45c.
Pls assist.
Thanks' guys.

There is nothing wrong with 45C packs, it may be an indication that you are not loading the motor very much. How long are the run times? What prop are you using?

I'm using a x642 prop sharpen&balanced. the running time is approx. 12-15 minutes till the high cut voltage is activated.
If i will progrem the esc to high timing would the boat go faster?
The one thing i know is that on high timing the running time goes way down.
I want to ask also what prop u guys are using beside the x642?
I really appreciate assistence.

I'm using a Prather 220 S&B and seems to work well.

Yes, the boat should run faster because you will get more RPMS. Might not notice it, it will be slight.

The best way to check is do a test run and check temps every few minutes or laps. If things stay cool or luke warm, then go for it!

Any info on how the boat runs with high timing? I am looking to do this next.

How warm do the batteries get?
