To the scale guys, what dang prop do you run on these?
I have been working my way thru my smaller props on this boat https://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/showthread.php?50559-Renewed-1-10-Miss-Cadillac-Shovel&highlight=Miss+Cadillac
Last prop was a cut up 440(37mm) with a bunch of mod work.
It was good till about 2/3-3/4 throttle then it tosses the back end up.
Next and last prop I have is a 438 cut to 35mm and detounged.
I am not expecting a go fast boat as we are trying to run at the city park.
Thanks, Shawn

Well with the proboat 1500kv motor a X447 work well I have never run the motor you have but I am thinking maybe a 42 or 45? I looked at your other thread can you tell me how deep the sponsons are and how deep your prop is? Also what does this boat weigh RTR?

Thanks Jim, I’ll check on this when home in an hour or so.
It is light, at least by my standards

The sponsons are 1 1/4” deep as is the hub of the prop. Well more like 1 1/4” at rear of of hub.
RTR weight is 97 oz with a 4200mah 4s pack.
Pretty sure it is an 1800kv motor

I’m confused, a UL-1 motor is 2030 Kv not 1800. If the transom is hopping then either the prop has too much lift/down angle/too deep or the CG is too far forward. A Kv of 1800 would work better with an x445.
Beautiful boat BTW.

And it is a gold can AQ motor of 1800 Kv
I know these aren’t supposed to be fast
Damn phone pics, haha. I have RTR CG 2 1/2” behind sponson trail edge.

CG should be closer to 1 inch behind the sponson's. Those sponsons are a little deep my boats have been more like 1 inch deep and the center of the drive dog also at 1 inch.

Now that I measured the CG I would’ve thought it was a lot closer to the sponson edgebased on the behaviour
