    Paris 24hr race

I know the Les 24 Heures de Viry Chatillon 2018 open model boat race is in progress at the moment, and I think it will be ending soon. Unfortunately I dont know anyuone in it this year so have not been getting facebook updates, but I am interested and I know someone here is a competitor, so I am hoping he will post or link to a race report, some photos, videos, descriptions of the boats, etc, any info would be appreciated.

What were the results? How did the electric teams do this year?

From the photos boats 6, 64 and 75 all look like the have a safety loop, so I guess they are the FE contingent. if that is right then it looks like electrics came 1st, 3rd and 5th.

Cool. I am having some reasonable success with my Osprey. The first offshore regatta, 140 mins of racing got me 131 laps. The winner did 157. Another regatta the next day I did 2nd equal for a 20 min race with 37 laps, winner did 41. I had a stop in that one when the boat I equalled with ran over me and pulled my safety loop. Without that stop I may well have won! I am also leading our club series, a 20 min race each club day, and open mono with the same boat. All against gassers that are bigger and have more hp.

That looks like a lot of fun - and work too. Looks like only 4 boats didn't complete 24hrs.
