View Full Version : Flint, MI - record trial - Spring event - Cancelled.

Our contacts at the City of Flint and Genesee County have informed us that a temporary repair of the dam breach is in the works but it will be at least four to five months to complete the work. At this point we will have to cancel our Spring event but hope to be able to run in the Fall.

Do you guys plan on finding a different site for the october trial? Incase the lake isnt filled up by then. My dad drove by that site the other day and he could walk across it without getting wet.

Has anyone driven by this location lately? I stopped by a couple months ago and it was still looking like Bonneville salt flats. Wondered if anyone has been by since.

I'm supposed to be up that way at the end of August. I'll swing by if you get nowhere with the county.

I know Terry and the gang do a great job and wouldn't doubt the fun factor for a second!
I haven't touched a record boat in 5 years? I'll get back to it one of these days.

Great news! Just heard from the Murany's that the lake has been full for over a month!

Looking forward to our Fall event! :smile:
