Yes you will need a external bec if your esc did not come with one or a separate battery pack. These are good:

Here's how to wire it:

Thankyou again for your last advise, but can i ask , Do i still have to remove red wire from both speed controllers after hooking up my bec, ??? Or do i not need to,?? do i need to use two becs one for each esc or just the one, Sorry for such basic questions but i am new and still learning, Thankyou,,

You connect the two esc's with a Y harness to the throttle channel on the receiver and wire a single Ubec in to power the receiver. You should not need to remove any wires unless the esc has an internal bec in which case you remove the wire from one esc so only the other is supplying power to the receiver. See below for OPTO with external bec, although for aircraft the diagram my help. What boat?

Or depending on which way you want to go. You can run a batt pack and eliminate the bec wiring and dedicate your main batteries to propel the boat. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00JNL5EKS/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1508509136&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=life+receiver+battery&dpPl=1&dpID=41T7b%2B2Hy6L&ref=plSrch I’ve yet to have any problems with this brand or chemistry. Charge it as 123 chemistry.

Thankyou, What do you think is a better way?? A (life) battery pack like you said or do think bec is better, Me i will run with the experience that you recommend until my knowledge gets better buy learning, but in mind I'm thinking bec to keep weight down and room in the boat, or is there a advantage on battery pack??

Personal preference really, both will do the job but using a bec is one less battery to charge or change.

Yes i agree, one less battery to charge and change, So i will stick with a bec, Thankyou again:rockon2:
