I was cleaning up the shop (garage) today and pulled these out and cleaned them up. I have a gen. 1 mustang and the original Transformers Bumblebee. I have the body/wheel kits for them and really haven't used them - I just like them. I was just wondering if anyone else has them and saved them.

Yes, (available at Radio Shack)but Gen 3 only has a motor upgrade - no body, wheel, or suspension kits. You can still get the Gen 1 and evolution series from ebay but they can get a bit pricey.

This site (http://www.atomicmods.com/Categories/Radio-Shack-XMODS.aspx) has a pretty good Q&A section for the Xmod & others.

Example:

Which is better the Evo or the Gen1?
The Evo has some improvements as well as flaws. The electronics and the steering are both improved, but the driveline durability is not as good on the Evo. The Gen1 by contrast has a much stronger driveline. Once you have upgraded the weaker driveline components on the Evo to billet parts, it becomes a truly amazing car.

I have a gen 1 i think...I stuck in suspension, motor, drivetrain, steering, tire mods, the whole lot. Don't forget ball bearings. Those make a big difference. It does 15-20.

Those are pretty cool. The Kyosho Mini Z is also cool. There are a ton of videos on youtube with both those cars.
