I have started the building of a (rod) fishing boat, (51 x 15 " with one rod).

I have a 50-60 outrunner,(stator 4035) 270 kv. Could it be used ?

You will want a water cooled motor... size and kv sound about right. Use a low-pitch prop.

Thanks. I do not think water cooling is an option. I will be fishing in very salty waters. Byt yes. A low pich prop seems like a good idea. I do not think that I will pull more then 10 Amps with the setup. In a smaller boat (3 pounds) I was pulling 2-3 amps at 6s. and the same speed.

Yeah, small amps... The amps will go up with a big fish in tow. So you're going to tow a lure and catch fish? That's wild! You gotta post some vids of that when you get one on the line!

Dropped the fishing part. The boat got an Align 800 MX /520 kv outrunner motor. The drive is a MHZ outboarder. Will be running 6-8s.
