Just wondered what kind of speed are you guys getting on the stock set up?
What prop and batteries are you running?

What boat are you asking about specifically? The V2 blackjack or the latest V3 version?

Sorry, the V3.

On 4S with a balanced and sharpened Octura x642 prop, the V3 will do 40-41mph. Same prop on 6S will see about 50mph. On 6s with a sharpened and balanced Octura x440/3, 7.5* timing, the boat will do 60mph. Sorry, I can't find any records of what I ran on a stock prop as I didn't make many runs with it.

Thanks, I'm running about 50 mpg, 6's and 215 prop.......might have to try the Octura x440/3. Where is the best place to pick one up, that is already sharpen and balanced?

Buy the raw prop from OSE (http://offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=oct-x440%2F3) and have it shipped to member Dasboata (https://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/member.php?5485-dasboata) to be prepped. PM him and he'll get you a quote and address. It's a really good prop to have, I've used it on more than one boat. IMO, it's worth buying the Octura and paying for professional sharpening vs. buying an inexpensive aluminum CNC prop.

Thanks again, ordered one today from OSE. I have sharpen and balanced a couple of props before, so I think I will give the 440 a shot and see how it does.
Where are you running your strut and battery placement ?

3S packs get run all the way back in the trays, towards the stern. Strut was pretty level, and raised above the bottom of the sponsons. REDLINE1 can give you an exact measurement, he's got the boat now and its really dialed in.

Thanks for the input......how were your temps?

Warm, around 140*, mid August, very warm lake water. REDLINE1 has since installed a custom dual cooling output rudder. I think he's doing better on temps, but the water is also much cooler right now.

Got the new 440 prop, sharpen and balanced today and tried my first run. I gained about 5 mph with it. Hit 56 mph, ran great !
Thanks for you suggestion on the 440/3.

Did you lower your ESC timing to 7.5*? If not, you need to.

In post 5 the OP says he was running 6S
The 440/3 was suggested to use on 6S with lower timing.

Seeing that the OP said he did lower his timing.

I would say that he is running 6S
