So I'm headed to Orlando Disney world (wife is driving ) and as we are traveling I'm looking out the window at bodies of water and examining them to see if they would be suitable to run a boat in. Then wishing I could lol. Of course I didn't bring any boats with me but I can dream can't I?

I do it all the time even when watching TV. If any of you have watched the show "Alone" in particular the most recent season in Patagonia, the freshwater lake they are on is the smoothest water I have ever seen!! I mention this to the wife and she insists it would ruin the tranquility, she just doesn't get-it!

Alone is a great show. Yes, I envisioned running boats on most of the locations last season.

Haha at least I'm not the only one who does this! My wife would think I'm nuts if I told her lol

Sorry as much as I enjoy my RC boat play time, I want to fish it first, in a real boat. :beerchug:

Absolutely, and watch the shore line for a good launching spot. Also look at the empty fields for a good flying site. I usually have a small FE boat and a couple of small airplanes when we take an RV trip.

Yep. It is 'normal' to me! Going past streams and small rivers is like, I have to do a jetboat one day and play in this stuff!

And to add to it, I have this right outside my balcony. And I have no boats with me. I need a pocket boat to bring with me lol. Like a tiny rigger would be seeet.

same!
Always carry a small RC in the trunk of the car. One can make a rest stop.
For Lone-Wolf: visit Patagonia Argentina, Nahuel Huapi National Park, is a beautiful place in spring and summer.

Don't worry. I gets worse.

I can't drive past a good piece of water without wondering where to put the timing lights.

If it's Disney World, the sign probably says no toddlers near the water... gators.

Right down I-4 a little west of Orlando is a waterski training facility that had some major boat race there a few years ago. There's plenty of water around here to run!

I've got a very nice, big lake (one of seven) on my apartment property. Was thinking of possibly setting up a gtg over here.

That would be nice to have nearby. I still have my big lake down the road from me (for now, its up for sale) but it's a pain having to pack all my stuff on the golf cart to go run. Better than the four wheeler I guess. I did recently put new seats on it with a gold down rear seat.

This piece of water is about 20 mins drive away. It is a small hydro generation lake in a park area, on the way is waterfalls, which had plenty of water over it lately due to a lot of rainfall. Every time I go there I think "I have to bring a boat and run it here".

This is our boat pond a couple of weeks ago, highest I have seen it, only the start finish line above water. For perspective the line is normally around 6' above the water.
