Soft or hard start that is the question ??

HI ALL

Eventually managed to get my BJ in the water after ETTI 150 amp programming hitches still needs fine adjustments but my question is the default setting is soft start well this morning when on its maiden after a refit and being in dry dock for a good while i hit the gas and the prop spins the boat hardly moved the whammo it took off nearly flipping just don't feel right and the same happened when coming back to shore you just want a smooth throttle and coast in not like a bullet out of a gun

Any guys running similar set up care to chime in

I always see soft start and linear throttle settings but not sure until I look at my ETTI manual I have some where. I thought we all used those settings.
