I a converting am currently converting a Thundercat 31.I would like to know if i should mount the motor in the same place or move it forward a little.I am also looking for a 18"flex drive cable 3/16(.187)3/16" prop 3.75"long .Pictures included. thanks

Lay your motor, cells and servo, etc in the hull around the areas they should be and then set your CG around 30-40% with your cells...mount the rest close. I make mine so the cells dictate the CG but it has to be somwhere close. I used to have one of those but never converted it to FE.

Also support the back of the motor with a piece of carved wood block.

As for the esc, The number of cells you are running and how fast you want to go (prop selection) would help.

I am thinking a hydra 120 would work.

Please post pics of your mounted motor and the progress on the conversion. What motor, ESC and cells did you eventually decide on? How does she run?
I'm also converting a TC31 and are going to use a Feigao 10XL with the Etti 150 ESC and 2x 11,1V 3S lipos.
Why did you take out the radio box?

my motor is kb45 11xl,esc is the turnigy sentilon 100 amp hv-2.I took out the radio box to get to things better. Iam still debating on a different esc,because the sentilion is not waterproof.
