View Full Version : Central rc sv40 70"

Good evening I'm building a 70" mono sv from Central rc it will be a twin build thinking leopards 56110 780kv or 5698 835kv 240 sword fish running 10s on each side with CNC 70mm props
Any suggestions or ideas or opinions are most welcome pictures of a build would be nice to

Motors/esc's and batts ok but I would start with less prop and check temps.

Yes, those are gas-sized props and the motor Kv is probably too high to run them. What is the OP's expectation for speed and run time? What type of running will he do?

IMO he would be better off with motors having a Kv around 500-600. He would be able to swing the big props which this large boat will need to get it going with reasonable run time and reliability. But it's his boat.....

Where he will get running insurance is another question, they will not be covered by either NAMBA or IMPBA. And a boat this size and weight can do some real damage.

Don't need running insurance in the usvi and it will br running in the ocean and I decided to put in 780kv 56110 leopards 300 sword fish and 3blade 57mm props on 10s and 12s looking to do 60s

Finally finished 70" went to a single motor set up with a tp 800kv with a sword fish 300esc 70mm prop cut down to 65mm . going to test it out in 10s
