Fried a ETTI 150 yesterday. It has been in 6 cell Pursuit since 2010. Should I replace with the same or are there better options out there now. Getting back into RC Boats after a couple years out of it. Thanks for any suggestions.

Get a Raider 150. Pretty killer.

Crap. Just noticed that. I needed one too. Another Seaking failure has left me scrambling.

Some like the Swordfish but I've struggled with those. The 300 lite is perfect for me but the smaller versions I've never been able to get running.

Our club has had poor results with the smaller Swordfish too. The SeaKings work, until they don't - expendable items. Watched a big Alien burn up on Saturday. I run Castle ICE air controllers but they are modified for marine use. They have been the most reliable, but I know what not to do - no water on them, keep the ripple current below 2 volts, don't set the timing wrong....

Watched a big Alien burn up on Saturday. .

I had a magnificent failure with one of those too. The FETs actually relieved themselves of duty and scattered inside the boat like cockroaches.

Lost another Hydra ICE 240 this past Saturday. I may experiment with swapping some boards. I have a bunch of those critters lying around now.

It sounds like I had very good luck with the ETTI lasting 6 years. And I know I unknowingly abused it running it too hot many times.

Now that I think about it, I had a 240 fail and a SK180 brand new that doesn't work. All within an hour of each other. Yayyy me.
