Traxxas Velineon 3s with castle 1406 540 size motor?

Will the traxxas Velinion 3s work with the Castle 1406 540 size 5700kv motor?
i find myself with a velineion 3s ESC and a weak 3500 motor. I have a Castle 1406 5700 kv motor and it is 540 size.

From what I've heard Castle makes the traxxas systems. I am not too sure about what the amperage output is on the Velinion ESC and what your using it in but for a boat the higher the KV the higher the temps. So yes it will work but only to a point. O.k I just checked it's max output is 11.1 volt and surprised me with a 2000amp continuous. It's waterproof but not water cooled .
