I'm at the point where I need to decide which motor to get for my JAE 21 FE.
My choice is to use a 4S pack, TP Power 3640 Motor but can't decide which KV : 2100 or 2460 KV and which prop to use with either one. From what I've seen on Youtube vids the TP 3640/2460 KV runs with an H 7 prop. I could not find any info regarding the 3640 2100KV but I can guess it might be an X648, or the prop that came with the JAE hardware kit.
Not going to race with it yet. Just want decent speed without endangering the batts.
Would the Seaking 120 A ESC be enough for either motor?

I'm building a 26" rigger myself and for now I'll be using a 2400kv 36mm motor. I also have a couple 3640 (2560kv and 3750kv) tp's to try. I'm using a 120a esc also.

Both motors are good options but I would stay with the 2460kv..I'm using a 2380 kv Leo X2 turning a 1450 mod with good speed.but my esc is a T180 V3. Gill

Thanks for the replies.
I also took a look at the TP Power 3630 /2200KV as it is a slightly smaller motor motor more in the size of the UL-1 with a bit more power but not as amp hungry as the 3640 series. I believe I can use the same prop as well since the 1450 was set up for the UL-1 motor and the 3630 motor is just a bit more power.
Something else to consider if I want to go real fast or just fast enough to have fun and bomb around the lake in.
The 2460 KV version will probably be my choice if I decide to want that much power.....no doubt it should make for a fast boat.
Cheers
