I am looking to upgrade my prop on my BJ29V2. It has a Swordfish 120 esc and the Dynamite 1800 motor. I am going to be running a 5S setup. Reason being is that 4s is a bit slow for me and 6s seems a bit risky with getting the motor hot and a bit hard to control at max speed.. I just feel that 5s is plenty of safe power... Im using Turnigy 2s + 3s 65/130C 5000 Nano-Tech batteries. I am running a Miss Geico rudder setup (center instead of offset rudder) and a custom dual pickup setup with large water hoses.. Any ideas on which prop will give me the best performance and gains without the risk of too much stress or overheating on 5s???
In a friends boat, we changed the stock BJ 29 prop and gained an average of 2mph on 4s and didn't have enough speed tests on 5s or 6s. Went with a Grim Racer 42x55 AQUB9725 for around $21. I was thinking of going with this prop because it proved a gain, but I am open to other props as well and willing to spend the extra money on a sharpened and balanced prop. Soooooo, any ideas on what to get????
