On my boats I run LiFe RX packs I tried using extension balancing jacks also tried to charge threw my switch charge cords, It always shows open circuit or other errors the only way I can get my life cells to charge is by opening my radio boxes and charging directly to the battery any help and recommendation on a inexpensive LiFe charger thanks Chris

I have the same charger and charge my Life packs with the leads plugged in and the balance lead plugged into the balance board while charging (charging Hyperion Life packs). One thing that happens is that some of my Life packs never quit balancing during a charge...they charge though. Are you charging them as LifePo4 (A123) ? Don't charge them in Lipo mode....

Should take about 10 min. or so to charge a 2S 850mah @ 30% in A123 mode...why is it driving you nuts??

Gotcha...not quite sure if there is a charge jack with both leads and balance plugs.

...you need to make some sort of an access port out of a film canister (the black canister w/ the grey snap on lid) cut and glued into your radio box lid with leads accessible in the film canister..the grey lid snaps on and will make a nice waterproof seal.

Here is a charger that will allow you to charge your Life packs using just the balance cord:

Good luck Chris!

Can you please share which type of charger you are looking for?
Also what are the specifications of charger required for your device?
Did you used any other charger before this?
What is the matter of cord in your case here?

Chris,
You can use balance extensions and charge remotely with any pack and any charger.

If you have them both connected to the charger it is no different that plugged straight up except a slight voltage drop if they were very long.

You are missing something.

Plug the balance and the discharge up and charge. All my charging is done through remote extensions and parallel load side and parallel balancing boards. This allows up to six to charge at once off one charge port and they are always charged and balanced identically.

Charging your batteries in the boat or even leaving them in the boat is not smart. Take them out and charge them properly and safely.
