Hi all i have a Blazer .21 nitro hydro kit sitting on the shelf for the last 9 years considering as a winter project for UL-1 motor on 4S power. A while back spoke with a boater i met he mentioned this would be a good hull if 1/8'' ply is glued to sponson air traps and bottoms and forward step pad is faired into sponson bottom . Is the Blazer .21 a fairly competive for P spec hydro? For 4s lipo's im guessing i will need a pair of 2s 5000 mah lipos in series to fit in hull or can 1 -14.8v 5000 mah lipo fit? Regards Andris Golts.

A single 4S 5000 fits nicely in the nose if you modify one of the bulkheads.

Two 2s 5000 lipos will fit better. Just lay the esc on top of both lipos when ready to run. No need to cut forward cross brace, this will add stiffness.

There's more than enough stiffness with the bulkhead modified, if you want to run a single 4S. The two 2S packs is a nice solution if you don't need to run a single 4S pack.

I've removed the bulkhead in a past build and its fine. I did however add Carbon/Kevlar to the inside area.

I run 2 - 4S - 5000,s in the nose of mine in "P" Sport.
Modified a few bulkheads to get them in there.
