    Rtv silicone???

got to thinking and was wondering if anyone here has used RTV silicone on your boats, if you have where did you use it and how did it hold up against the water?

i use the black silicone for holding battery trays in, and for sealing between through hull fitting like the water outlets, strut mount, rudder mount, etc.

I've used it to hold my battery tray in a P mono. It's been in there for a good 6 years. Same with the servo tray.

I've been using Goop as a sealant/adhesive and it works great. Cures faster than silicon.

Just remember to scuff and clean with a solvent that will not hurt your hull before using either silicone or Goop.
