I've jumped into boating with both feet this spring. I'm slowly working on an old 31" Prather nitro fg hull, picked up a Aq mini mono and a Pb recoil, and converted this Vintage Jetstream to brushless.
The end result for this build is a low-cost reliable craft to be set up as a rescue rig. Not to mention a little sport running too!
I wanted to have a dedicated rescue plan before building and running anything too wild!!

So far so good. I'm running the stock inboard/outdrive with a dynamite 1800kV inrunner and 80 amp esc on 2p 3s 5000mAh packs. Its running cold and dry.
I'm going to throw a pair of 4s packs in it for a little fun before building the rescue set up.:eek:

This is one of my local playgrounds.

While I have some experience with Brushless surface and air rigs, I'm loving this venture into new in uncharted territory. Boats are way more involved then I would have guessed. I have learned soooo much from this forum so far. Thanks to all who make this place happen!!

I was initially having problems with water. I was blaming it on the stuffing tube. Come to find out it was the hatch.
I picked up some 3/16th weather strip at Lowe's and made a seal for my lid. Happy to report a dry hull now!!
