I just ordered my revolt and along with some upgrades for cooling and the flex cable. I am considering upgrading the motor and esc. How does a leopard 4074 1800kv with a seaking 120amp esc on 4s sound? With a x642, I figure temps will stay down enough and I will be able to consistently get in the mid 50's... thoughts?

That prop would work well with the 1800kv, another consideration would be a 2200kv with an m445.

wouldnt that larger prop be better on a lower kv motor?

Yes and not really, in this case the pitch is less. A 2200kv motor on 4s can swing a M445 w/o issues particularly in a boat this size.
You would be better off to dig in a little more with your research. I remember like M-A-W, I suggested m445 in the past however those who had first hand experience seem to consider the smaller prop a better choice as the 45mm is on the verge of inducing handling issues. I could be wrong on this because it's been a while and I might have remembered incorrectly. Mike Caruso was the one who offered this observation.

well right now I have a x642 and a m645 on the way. I am going to keep it stock for a while and if I feel like it needs it, I will drop in the leopard 4074 and 120 amp esc!

Sounds good, the M645 is quite a jump from the M445, just a heads up. A happy middle of the road is the m545 which I have had a lot of good runs with my Pursuit on a 2200kv 4082 motor, although the ESC I use is a Seaking 180A. I feel it would make a difference interms of margin of comfort. if you use the M645 for kicks, check you temp diligently.

the m645 is for stock electronics on 4s, and if that is too much, then I will just run the x642 for now :)

The 642 or any of the 6 series are gonna want to stuff the nose and may bounce a bit due to their lifting qualities.
If you want to get into the 50's my personal recommendation would be a seaking 120, stock motor, 5s and a 4 series prop.
442 or444 or so.

what would be the least expensive way to get it in the 50's? I am only going to be sport running it, so I don't want something that will overheat the system. What general upgrades from stock would you recommend for this boat? I have already ordered 5.5mm bullets, extra water pickup, 4mm cooling lines, upgraded shaft, collet, and prop nut.

If you had a seaking 180a I would recommend running a 4074 2200kv with an m545, should put you into the low 50's

Yeah def be a better idea to run a 180 esc with the 4074.
He could do a 120 esc on a 3674 Leo 2200.
