I am in the process of repairing, repainting and refitting a 30 year old wood deepvee that my father built. I had to remove sections of dryrotted wood and now that it's repaired I need to seal the section I replaced before paint, right? So my question is what product/method should I use? I was thinking about brushing on QuickCure epoxy then sanding smooth.

I'd also appreciate some recommendations for pant.?. I converted the boat to Brushless so I don't need it fuel proof.

Thanks for the help!

All my wood boats are sealed with epoxy resin thinned....personally I like Huntsmann and West Systems......but you can also use Z-poxy finishing resin from Zap with good results.I like P.U painting from PPG.Gill

The proxy method seems to have worked well. Next week I hope to start final paint.

Thanks for the advice.
