Pleased to report a great first run with the Blackjack 29 yesterday.

Got a very small amount of water in the hull but the boat was driving into some reasonably large waves and throwing up a lot of spray. I think the water was coming in through the spring loaded hatch pin so I'll try packing it with thick grease. The hatch was taped up.

The handling was very good, the boat was predictable and stable with just a little bit of bounce which I'm sure I can dial out. The speed however I was very happy with. I was running two 4s Zippy Compact 35c 3700's in parallel and the boat had plenty enough punch and top end for me, it left my mates HK pursuit for dead!! Motor, ESC and lipos were barely warm after use. As soon as the packs have had a few break in cycles I'll see what sort of runtimes I can get. Yesterday after 5 mins of running I measured cell voltages of around 3.9-4v/cell (readings taken around 30 seconds after bringing the boat in).

So overall very pleased with this boat, it looks good on the water and generally a decent effort from Proboat.
