not sure how help full i can be. i have only recently got back into boats.
best i can suggest is work out you CG to see how much weight you need and measure what size (lxwxh) will fit in the boat then find a battery that fits both criteria.
i have just finished building a 24.5'' hydro with very limited room and had to settle for a battery lighter then i wanted but is the biggest that physically fits in.
hope this helps you

Well I will just going too learn the hard way, spend the money and off I go . Didn't much about Dirt Gokart Racing, but was winner with stuff I was told would never work.

with that KV motor and size boat id go 3s lipo. that will give you an unloaded total kv of 33390. start with a 640 prop and go from there.

COG (center of gravity/balance point) between 1.5 - 2 inches from the back of the sponson. Strut depth start with the same depth as the sponson with the prop angled down slightly.(positive angle)
