You never disappoint! Really looking forward to seeing what happens here. I'm curious about the drill and solid rod going into the drives, I had written a few guesses from lapping the bushings(if bushings are used), seating and running in bearnings and also it being a special tool for drilling into the hull for stuffing tube arrangement. None seemed to quite fit. What's going on there:-)!

hi
this is a Special tool for Drilling the hole for the Flex and shaft tube. the drive is mountet in the optimal Position.
so i have the propshaft and the Flex 100% in the centrum

Very good idea, takes any guess work out of things that's for sure. That's the type of stuff I love seeing in the high end builds. It really helps us newer builders become better. Thanks

How does this tool work? Seems like a great idea to make that perfect angle from drive to stuffing tube entry point.

It's probably a long drill bit.

maybe some kind of a tube that holds a drill bit? Hanspeter can shine a light on this mystery!

It would be a piece of precision ground shafting or tube the same size as the inside diameter of the bearings with a drill machined to fit the end. Nothing fancy but a really great idea. Every little bit helps getting things to run as true as possible.

Ahha, the flexible tubing for the stuffing tube. That is what I have been watching for. Where did you find that Hanspeter? I have been watching for old oil cans but that looks new. I have had thoughts of it for my HPR 115
