MMEU's "trophy" race is traditionally held the last weekend in June. This year we are tentatively planning on hosting the Michigan Cup, 3 days of racing, June 26 to the 28. Won't have exact date and classes until our next club meeting, sometime in Feb.
Regardless of how many classes are offered, you still need the boats to support them. At the end of the day there isn't many guys will hulls over 6S. I would rather run more heats of the highly competitive (represented) classes than having having multiple classes with only 3 boats. Just my $.02
But it's easier to get a trophy with only 3 boats.
