Starting a new thread in 2015 for WaveBlasters racing news and racing schedule.

The 6th annual Spring SHOOTOUT is still in the early planning stage so more news will follow in the coming months.All are welcome to post comments and suggestions here.

Our Club racing is still every 2 weeks unless posted otherwise...so... for Jan we race the 4th and 18th.

What classes do you run on your regular race schedule?

For regular club racing we just run P-Ltd production boats.
Our classes are:SV27 stock
Revolt30 stock
Production Modified
P-Ltd Cat(oval)
P-Ltd Offshore(3min)

imo 3 min. offshore is the way to go! our club runs 4 min. and with the longer coarse and dead boat retrive time makes for a much longer day and time bettween heats. just my 2 cents.

I have a p-mono and a stock Proboat Blackjack 29 can I race both of these. Do you ever run Vintage scale hydros.

Sorry Rich but we only race p-mono and scale hydros during the shootout.There's just not much interest in those classes here.

The BJ will fit right in P-Ltd Cat oval however.

WB club racin in Feb will be on da 1st an da 15th.

Every 2 weeks,rain or shine,hot or cold,windy or calm.Can't remember ever calling a race because of weather!

I will try to get an answer this Sunday....our regular club attendance has been rather low the past few races,
we will have to decide if we will hold the race this year. Thanks for the inquiry.

The Wave Blasters met Sunday prior to our normal races.
We discussed in detail the pro's and con's of trying to push
along with our Annual Spring Shoot-out despite many
obstacles. Weighing everything out we had a vote which
was unanimous to cancelled the 2015 race and pick it
up again next year. We also decided that we will have it either
March or April depending on other races scheduled during that
time period. Sorry for dragging everyone along, but hope
you will be ready to give it a go again next year.
We will make every attempt to have a schedule for this
2016 Spring Shoot-out posted before the end of 2015.
Hope to see everyone next year.

Sorry Ron that the 2015 ShootOut got gunned down!It would be nice if another FL club could take up our slack...LOL.

Meanwhile,life goes on in Blasterland...club racin for April is scheduled for the 12th and 26th.See ya all at the pond!

don't hold your breath on the other club having any real races as they are changing lakes ad not sure what the new lake rules will be....

Due to Mothers Day on May 10 we have decided to shift the race schedule to the 17th and 31st.Every other Sun as usual after that.

Hey guys, to whom it may concern, West Fl. Model Boat Club has secured a new lake to run. Starting in June we will be running @ Tom Bennett Park in Bradenton, This is a much nicer venue and we will be able to host events. You got it Jeff, Our two clubs should get together at least once a year and have a club shoot out or something like that. Along with a bigger event too, at least we'll be able to do it now. Cause Sarasota County wouldn't let us do anything when we were @ Ackerman Park. We're in Manatee County now and they're going to work with us a little so we can have events @ Tom Bennett Park.
