just wanted to share the last vid (3 in 1) of my 29" mono, ran it yesterday at a pond near EuroDisney!
setup is : Feigao 8XL, cheap Swang 100A ESC, cheap 4S1P 4000mAh, K40.5 or K42 CF prop, the entire trans is home made!
AVI (http://pagesperso-orange.fr/pleindetrucs/29_4S_4000_06092008.avi)
WMV (http://http://pagesperso-orange.fr/pleindetrucs/29_4S_4000_06092008.wmv)
I have no idea of the speed, I will invest in a GPS soon!

yep may be a bit wet as I kept almost the original wooden motor mount and my trans is a bit heavy too, so RTR weight is around 2.45Kg, I think 2.2 could be achieved!
I'm happy anyway!

wet = handling I think I might run a mono wet by choice so it would handle like that, it's more fun than running a saw in my opinion

good point! I never did look at it like that, but you're right it's really fun to have a boat handling like that!

Thanks for posting the video ED. I wish my NS3 would handle the rough water like that.

I weight it this morning, 2.45Kg, but I think the particular good handling is due to several parameters...
- the hull design
- the weight
- the extremely long (140mm) rudder mount with a wide rudder blade

I will now work on some trim tabs, I don't have any yet, just to see if it does improve anything!!!

2.45kg isnt bad ed, mine is a lil heavier than that i think.
These boats are really good in the rough, when they go up though they do like to nose dive:bounce: Lost mine for bout 6-7 seconds down the river the other week:ohmy:

not bad sure, but I've readed some are at 2.25kg!
mine stays perfectly horizontal in 4-5" waves, well, that was when I was running 3S and COG was at 25%, now is at 32% but prop is lifted 1° witch helps the same way!
I think I'll get a 10XL someday, and run 6S, just to blast!... and break records!
