Sunday October 5th marked the end of our 2014 season. Our season consisted of 6 Club races and we used the 5 highest results from them to determine the winners. We raced 5 trophy classes (with 3 racers taking 1st place in them) and 2 'trial' classes.
Trophy Classes:
MMEU SV27
P-Limited Catamaran
P-Limited Mono
P-Limited Offshore
P-Limited Sport Hydro.
Trial Classes:
P-Sport Hydro
Q-Sport Hydro
Going into the final race of the season, two classes were already decided.
1. Mark Cerenkowski had wrapped up SV-27
2. Jimmy Francisco won P-Limited Catamaran
In two classes there was a mathematical chance that the leader going in could be overtaken.
3. I had the lead in P-Limited Mono and could have been overtaken by a perfect day by Ken Brode and a poor showing by me (that didn't happen)
4. Mark Cerenkowski had the lead in P-Limited Offshore and nearly lost the lead to me but held on to win by 3/4 of a lap (15 heats of racing, 60 minuets over the course of the season decided by a cut buoy !!)
One class was wide open.
5. I had the lead in P-Limited Sport Hydro but my total was based on one more race than the 2nd and 3rd place racers who were only 25 points apart. Jimmy Francisco won the class with a perfect day.
