Need swordfish esc help!!

I purchased a 300 Pro HV. NEW. I programed it 4 cells, 0 timing in my P Mono and taxied from the the dock slow. 20 feet I heard a POP. Can I put caps between the black and red wires outside the case? If so what size and how many. Swordfish will do noting.

HV esc to run on 4S??

If its the 300+ Pro HV ( the black sealed metal case esc) the positive wire cant touch the case or it will short out.

I hooked it up w/out caps. I just hooked it 4s 2p. It moved 20 feet and i heard a po.

It's only recommended for a cap bank above 8S. Maybe a faulty product. Where did you buy from? Hope they can help you.
