Open water for the rest of 2014

I thought I would start a post here for Open Water announcements for the remainder of the 2014 season.
That being said, I will be at the pond around 6pm on 8/6.

Bump for saturday practice. To my knowledge open water will start at 10am on 8/9/14.

Man, I took another beating in the wed night grind line race. I kept bragging how fast my LSH was and then Tom took me to the cleaners, especially in the turns. Something to be said about a lighter boat changing directions. Anyhow, I think Tommy is leading in grind line points this the year.....something I used to take pride in.

As per our usual, the Wednesday after a club race the pond will not be open. So no open water this Wednesday the 20th.

Just tried to get on to RC Racing also, I will continue to try throughout the day and if it does not come on line put me in for SV27 and LSH. And (if possible) keep Jeff and myself out of the same heats so we can pit one another and it helps with charging also.

sat. the 20th. terry and tom set a new bouy for the offshore class course! it was tried out today and may become the new layout for next year. try it out guys while you can-----the core would like feedback on this new position--which would remove the long run bouy on the back side of the course and cut retrival time down. please note the course will remain as is for the rest of the year.:banana::banana:

The new pin is basically in the bay where we keep the retrieve boat. It's not in the normal lanes of traffic or anything. It's outside of that. Could be moved a bit further out maybe. It's pretty cool to drive. It's not a "NAMBA" course but we don't really have enough pond to go 100% legal anyway.

This layout is basically 180 degrees opposite of what we ran in Phoenix and London. The difference being that you can see the offset pin really well since it's in the front close to shore. Hope you guys dig it too.

We wont be running points on this course this year or anything. Wouldn't be fair to those that have done well on the big course but for sure give it a try before the snow flies. Like to know what you all think of it.

I really liked the course. The offshore left is more of a turn than a slight veer. Would like to see it used next year.

Due to the diminished available light on Wednesdays, open water on Wednesdays will be cancelled for the rest of the season. We will still have open water on Saturdays starting at 10am.

John's right. It's kinda cool to turn some laps when it doesn't matter too. Just fer fun. Remember? Plus you can give the potential offshore course a spin. Still not sure about that. Sure could use some more opinions.
