Ground Speed

I want to log the speed of my boat using different props etc. is there any kind of GPS or any way to log the speed of your boat?

Most of use regular GPS units, smaller Garmins are popular.

okay Thanks, Sorry to bother you again , But Is there any specific Garmin GPS model that you would recommend ?. Any information is sincerely appreciated , it would save me the time to research. Thank you for your cooperation.

I used to run the Geko 101, a great simple GPS but it's no longer available. I run the Foretrex 201 now, got it used off eBay for $50 shipped and it works great. Others would work as well, all you really need is Max Speed.
