Have you raised the bottom of the strut up 1/4 to 3/16 above the bottom of the hull?

Which prop and voltage are you using?

That is a big hull for that motor. I have the same hull but a FE layup and is lighter. You really need to step up to a 10-12 Xl and 16-18 cells. Easy on your gear and will have moroe torque to spin a bigger prop.

I am trying a 9XL with 14 cells and a 640 prop.

Strut level with sponson bottom. CG of about 25-30% to keep her light.

Reddy, I have moved my strut even notched it to give me more angle it rides nice the front is up running approx 4" on the rear I am using 2s lipos with a x445/2 blade seems to be the best I think I will set my rudder back 4" get it away from the prop. do you have any advice on the 8xl with hydra 120? thanks

8XL on 4s lipo and a hydra 120;

These props will get the mean machine into the 40's safely. You can try larger props after a setup with one of these. They are all under 100 amps.
