Guys,

Just got my Revolt 30, and am going to replace my stock shaft immediately. Is there anything else I should upgrade? Also is there any advice or how to's on soldering bullets so that I can run my existing 4s 5000mah packs in 4sp1?

Thanks!

Steve

If you want to upgrade the prop, start with a m445 and go from there.

upgrade esc and prop!

I will respectfully disagree with the need for replacing the ESC. The 60amp Aquacraft units are very robust when used within the intended limits of the boat/prop combo. I have been using the Aquacraft 60amp speed controls in ALL of my P-Limited set-ups for several years now. Although I do strictly competitively race and push the equipment hard, I have only had a few failures over several years. Follow a few simple rules and your controller will last a long time

• Don’t over prop the boat! The above M445 is a good suggestion to start with.
• Monitor your estimated amp draw either using an Eagle Tree unit or calculate using your runtime and capacity back into the battery (the proper equation and units can be found here on OSE)
• Don’t run the boat for an extended period of time at half throttle. The controllers like full throttle much better.
• Keep track of your runtimes and batter voltage. Running the boat until it “slows down” is a quick way to lower the life expectancy of all FE components.

Have Fun,
Mike Ball

I run a K48 on mine and it flies. No need to upgrade the ESC...that's a waste of money.

The only reason to upgrade the ESC would be to get a higher LVC setting and improved linearity on the throttle. If you're religious about timing your runs and are WOT all the time, then you're good as is.

Thanks for all the input guys! Wide open is the only way to run. I'll be running a 2 min rest run and checking the batteries. I'll talk with Chris (Dasboata) about an m445 for the boat. How close is a K48 to that prop?

:noidea:

K48= Diameter 48mm(1.89"), Pitch 1.4x48=67mm or 2.64"

M445= Total Pitch: 1.4x1.77=2.478" = mm 44.95817699999999

So it is 4mm bigger. :tongue_smilie:
