Well what type of engine does the U-787 use? If they use a Turbine engine which will burn anything combustable than its cool. As far as i know there shouldnt be any change to peformance or power.

From what i can tell it has a turbine so my hypothosis should be correct.

Yup same turbine that everyone else in the unlimited's run which is a
Lycoming T-55/L-7C turbine

I only know they are about 2700 to 3000 HP and were used in Vietnam in Chinook Helicopters.

Does anyone know the history of the hull? It's a good looking boat!

It is Elams backup boat and was run for several years previously but I am not sure if they built it or bought it from someone else
