ok guys id love a little help with this it seems ive got a great rigger with the wrong motor. it runs really well but it just feels like it has a lot more left in it. i have a bby 30 inch 4s oval rigger with an aquacraft 1800 motor. as it seems i should have got the 2030. i am also just using the aquacraft 60 amp esc. now i could just swap it out for a 2030. but that would be the easy way out. can anyone give me an idea of a prop i can run. im not looking for a 6 lap race prop. im looking for something i can get the best speed with and handling and still be able to smash 6400 mah in one sitting. right now i am running a slightly de tongued x442. it moves ok and handles well in the turn and comes back at 112 degrees. but....it is visibly dragging its tail you can tell the prop doesn't have enough lift. so any help here would be great! thanks guys!

ok after a little digging i may have found the right prop but id still like to know what the hydro and rigger guys think. i was thinking the octura 1740 would have the lift needed to keep the transom up and its still small enough to keep temps down and speed would be more then ok for sport running. another prop i was thinking about is the s220 or a de tongued s225?

I have run an H6 and H7 on my sport hydro and in stock format they both produce a good deal more lift than the Xseries. soemthing else you might wnat to look into...

I did look at the h-series props but isn't the h-7 a heat prop? I want to be able to run down 6400 mah without over heating?

The H-7 is a great prop with the AC UL-1 power system with o 30" rigger...

DO NOT try and run your packs down all the way...that is a sure way to heat things up or worse! Good rule of thumb is run your packs down to around 35% ...with 6400 mah that should be around 2100-2200mah left in it...

Get in touch with Mark Sholund and get him to prep an H-7 for you...just let him know what hull, motor/ esc setup you are running...you will not be dissapointed with his work...reasonble prices too...

an H4 or H5 might be better for what you are looking for, I just mentioned what I was running that made more lift, all the H series will give you more lift than an X series

Kent, I'm stuck in Nevada doing training exercises.
I'll be home just in time for ODMBA's fun run in the new pond.

It's not the ul1 power plant that's a 2030 this is an 1800kv. And yes you are very correct I shouldn't run my packs down so far. And thanks for the advise! I will look him up now!

I was thinking the h-5 may be best for me. And I'm sure the h series has more lift than x props but what about the 1.7 octuras? Or even an n940?

the regular octuras (not x, m or v) make more lift so the 1740 you mentioned before is surely worth a try. not sure about the n940 i have no experience with it.
great thing about boats this small is props are dirt cheap, you can try a lot of them
