I know that alternate ESCs seem to get hot when used on the SV27 motor...

Has there been any issues with running other-than-stock ESCs with the BJ26 Motor?? Barracuda 125s or Hydro 120s, etc?? Do they work fine with this motor or do they get too hot??

Thanks,

IMO, the BJ & SV motors are 6 pole, so the controller pulse frequency is 3 times as fast as a 2 pole motor at the same RPM. It also has to stay in correct timing with the rotor at a higher freq. Their controllers were specifically designed for 6 pole motors.

Some controllers handle more poles better than others.

Himax which seems to be the manufacture of the BJ motor recommends CC esc's and default settings
