Folk's,
I would like to read my Eagle Tree without opening and retaping the hatch.
Anyone know of a bulk head plug I could mount in the hull?
Right now don't need $200.00 Telemetry.

Are you talking about an external for the panel, or USB?

It fits into the V4 unit itself I thought it was called a mini usb and the other end std USB plugs into my laptop.

So I take it that you don't as yet have the LCD power panel display?

Yes I do have the LCD diplay. But I want to down load the run and save it. Then change prop and run again. Is there a better way to use the ET ?
I did find this http://wetpixel.com/articles/adding-usb-connectivity-to-your-u-w-housing Like what I was thinking but only for the USB MINI-B, LOL now I know what size that little guy is.....

OK, now I understand. Sounds like you have batteries with plenty of MAH's to send her out 2, or 3 times. I do as well, which is why I have an external receiver cut-off switch, (safety first!). Getting wire outside the hull, and having it sealed is fairly easy, (just ask, and I will show you), then again, you're no dummy.
Perhaps trim a servo rod boot, insert a shaved down female mini usb plug, and back fill the boot with silicone. Shortening the 3 foot cord should be easy. http://www.showmecables.com/product/Mini-USB-B-Extension-Cable-3-Feet.aspx

Got it!!!! Thank you very much. I think my Radio Shack will see me after work have to get ready for Sat. Did you use a small toggle with rubber boot for RX? I kind of like the way the euro guys do it with a jumper wire. Again thanks

Now I know what you're thinking, but Runz, I now have a mini usb plug outside my hull exposed to the elements. Fret not, Kintec Racing sells condoms that will roll over 12mm bullet connectors.
Scroll down to safety caps. http://kintecracing.com/Electrical.html

Yes, I did use an exterior switch mod; http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=dh-203 with a switch like this; http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1574_136/products_id/28438/n/JR-Standard-Switch Note that the switch has 2 power outs, handy for me cuz 1 goes to directly to a couple of the 34 exterior lights on my boat, the other to the receiver. Those 2 lights warn me that the receiver power may still be on, a good thing to know if you are changing props with the main batteries still connected, (need I explain why?). The external jumper wire you speak of is a, *MAIN* battery disconnect, mandatory in Europe, and I believe Australia as well, handy in the pits, but out in the middle of a lake, not so much. I have often thought, wouldn't it be great if there was a way to kill main battery power *remotely* at the first sign of trouble, (smoke)?
Well lo, and behold, such a device does exist, a 3rd channel remote main disconnect rated at 60 volts, and 240amps, --------- but it ain't cheap!

Hello!, that comes with the unit. It can also be purchased separately AND, you can reverse engineer the unit so that it disengages instead of engages when it's pulled out, Soooo with a small fishing bobber attached to the cord, if you barrel roll the plug will be yanked. BTW, something else you should know, the jumper cables we all got with computer CD players to go to sound cards actually fit the logger, and power panel.
Tricks aren't just for kids.

It is not an ESC, it's a remote main battery kill switch. It's rated for 3s up to 16s, and 360amps, it could go in most any boat, even yours. Heck, if I had the money I'd buy one.
One of these days someone is going to look inside my boat and say, ---- is that a kitchen sink?
