Hi guys I just got a brushed shockwave v3 from horizon last week and am going to upgrade it to brushless before it even hits the water. I have a proboat 60 amp esc and motor(1800kv) that I pulled from my mystic when I upgraded it and was wondering if anyone knows if that esc will run on 3s or not.I know they have a new dynamite 45 amp esc that looks like the old proboat one that was in the miss geico v1 that is setup to run on 3s in the brushless version of the shockwave so I was gonna try to wire up the one I have for a single 3s battery if possible. If not I have a seaking 120 esc that I will try it with. If I do need to go with the seaking 120 what timing should I start with with the proboat 1800 motor?

Pretty soon I might need to stop my boat addiction because I am running out of room for them but these FE boats have me hooked. Right now I currently have 2 Revolts,1 Motley Crew,2 Blackjack 29's,1 Mystic,2 Spartans,1 Genesis,1 shockwave v3,1 mini mono, and 1 atomik barbwire. A few are stock but most of them I have upgraded the esc's to seaking 180's and upgraded the motors.

(Thanks to all the guys here for all the help along the way, could not have done it without all of your help.:thumbup1:)

i'd run the Seaking.as far as timing,i don't know too much about it,so I cant comment.i figure with the 1800kv motor and 3s,that boat should work really well with the right prop.and that's quite the collection you have.you are hooked.

I have the shockwave bl v3 and it has a proboat 45 amp ESC in it and I run 3s with it. It has the stock 1500kv motor in it now but I'm getting ready to switch it out for a 1800kv from my Impulse 31. I'd be interested to know what prop you run with your setup if you choose to run the 45 amp ESC

1800kv AQ 60 amp = 4s One thing I can pass along is I ran the SeaKing 120 and top speeds are identical BUT much smoother low speeds and I you have to set the timing to 10.5° oh and the LV also before you run it.
Same day testing I switched A-B-A back the AQ 60 1711 as it does all I ask of it. Saving the Seaweed lol 120 for a different boat and it does work very well.
