I noticed some of you have prop holders to help in the balancing, thinning and sharpening process. I'm on a budget so I looked around my shop to see if I could build one that's functional. So here is what I came up with.

I have fingers, when it gets to hot I have some water to cool the prop down. I like your idea though, much easier on the fingers!

A wooden file handel works well also

Nice easy on old hands and you can pick the diameter to be comfortable thanks for the idea.

Those small ABC 3 Blade props are a biatch to thin and sharpen. A Dremel helps lots. Along with a small rough and fine cut file.
