dual water cooling

This weekend I got my 30 out on the lake.

It is running stock prop, stock esc and motor.
strut up about 1.5mm and batts all the way back
Everything sharpened and ballanced, right trim tab down a smidge to keep her from pulling right.
Runs very nice.

I want to do some upgrading this winter to make it even better.
CF battery tray, the stock plastic one is just about had it
Red cooling tubes 3mm ID 7mm OD from kintec, sorry ose why you no sell red hoes

Foam in the nose and possible resin the hull or CF

I also was toying around with dual water lines, 1 for motor 1 for esc, I would use the rudder pickup for motor and get a grim transom pickup for esc, and put on 2 water outlets and 2 hole rings to make it more visually appealing.



Anyone that has done dual water lines what did you do?

Sounds good except for the foam, horrid stuff! Heavy and a real pain to scrape out of you need to do a repair, positive the stuff in the boat I bought used absorbed water, couldn't get the CG right with the existing battery mounts, pulled out the foam and it balanced perfectly where I imagine it was built to balance.
Pool noodles for floation and CF for strength.
Took me a couple hours to pull it out bit by bit, had to use a screwdriver to reach far enough forwards to break it up.
Big fan of dual cooling, use it on all my boats. You don't really need to go big though, the restriction is in the nipples. Won't flow more with bigger tubing. I have replaced some of them with ones the same OD but have a bigger ID. I generally run plain old medium fuel line.

Thanks for the heads up on the foam, I actually didn't put it in my cart when I placed my order.
I did get the cf tray, cf cloth, finishing resin, red tube, 2 water outlets and 2 hole rings
I am going to try to get resin as far up the nose as I can and cf as much as possible

I cant wait to get my order, im excited to work on it

I personally don't think stock Revolt needs 2x cooling. My is always just warm and I run with 4-6 battery changes back to back. My Grimracer batteries minor puffing is my problem.

Yeah stock the temps stay safe, I have only seen 140 once and it was 100 deg day water temp was 86. during that heat wave we had in NJ.

I wanted dual cooling for pro active reasons, I want to start playing around with bigger props and eventually upgrade the esc and motor
I use gens ace 2s 5000 40c x2, cant justify the cost of the grimracer batteries.

Hey boat looks good. Like what you've done with the CF reinforcement and lower central battery tray.
Curious if anyone has ever run dual pickups but tee the 2 lines together before the ESC. I'm no mathemagician but it might seem that it would increase the velocity of the water going through the ESC and motor. But probably wrong on that lol.

Going to do the same. What did you realized you have done after you where done?

I cut the cloth and fibers went everywhere, realized I should have put tape on the under side , then cut the tape leaving a 1/4 inch of tape around edge, so the cloth does not fall apart.
And I used way too much resin, it pooled on the bottom a little

I run dual cooling on my leopard revolt. It doesnt need it, but I consider it insurance. The underhood of my revolt is filled with wire and cooling lines. Lol. Theres no extra space in it

Also you should feed the motor can from the bottom and exit from the top; just reverse your lines :wink:
