Is anyone able to enter on any day for any class?
Do you have to be in the point series or a member of any special club or organization for Fri. And Sat. classes?
I plan on coming down from Tulsa to run and would like to enter a class on all three days. LMK

It's open to anyone and you're free to sign up for any of the classes you want! No, you don't have to be part of the series and you can sign up for a one time NAMBA membership there for $10. Come on down! We had a fun time at the last one in Houston. Jay Turner (Fluid) picked up a 3rd with his electric cat in the open cat class.

Have fun Greg. I had a blast in April running with over 20 of the fastest gas cats in the South.

Excellent! What boats are you running in the open classes? I'm still debating, may run an electric cat in the open offshore.

Have fun

.

That's the main goal plus a little racing in between
Going mainly to observe, learn and prepare for my next race against some of the fastest cats anywhere.
Are you not going to attend? Am I not going to get to meet the world famous fluid? ;)

Probably run the segad w/ bonzi BZX2 in open cat. Thinking about electric mono in offshore. If not it will be the segad for all three classes.

Cool, would be nice to see more electrics!

Is there going to be onsite electricity?
Should I bring a generator?
Does anyone have Duane Oldfield's email address?
Looks like I'm going to have to change open-offshore to open-mono.
Not going to be able to make it till Saturday.

Also my pitman backed out on me today.
I'm still working on him I just don't know.
I may need a pitman if anyone would like to trade duties.
I'll pit them if they will pit me.

Thanks

It shouldn't be an issue, there's always someone willing to help. I'll help if I can, I'm in the same classes you've entered! I'll be right next to the retrieve boat, that's going to be my duty for the weekend.

We should get to know each other well then :help:

More questions.

How long does a typical day of racing last? I know in land base rc it can be dawn to dusk.
I'm hoping to be in town around 3:00 Friday to check in hotel.
Then I would like to try and see at least a few minutes racing.
Maybe talk to a few of you so at I won't look like the newb I am!
Will there be open water after the races are over if there is enough light?

Funny, the retrievers know me too!

We normally race from dawn to dusk, depends on the number of racers of course. And most races on Sundays we've finished early. BUT, this is a different race from what's normally done. There's open water before, during lunch, and after. The pond is in a park and away from homes so there's no time limits. I think one of the guys put a light his boat and was running it around midnight last year!
