OSE sells top notch upgrade cables, I have MG V1, I don't know if it's the exact same length, but you can measure the one you have now and determine: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ose-mystic-cable

I snapped mine in half in the middle of the pond so I'm not sure how long.

I see, well, my feeling is that they should be the same length, but hopefully someone else who is SURE of the measurement will chime in to help, good luck!
In any case, I don't know which maker is the one on e Bay, but I can tell you for a few dollars more, the OSE ones are the best!

Just buy a Hughey .150" flkex shaft with a 3/16" stub and cut it to length. Youll have a much higher quality shaft, and its easy to do. Just remember to measure twice before you cut.

A stock BJ 29 flex shaft is 12.75" long from the tip to the threads on the stub. The stub has a length of 2-7/8"

Nope, I just know that it fits so I'm using it! :P

Also I bought a new proboat prop since my other one is long gone. Do I need to balance it?

YES!!! The PB prop is made of steel, although they say it can be used, don't use it w/o balancing . It is heavy( steel) and any unbalance character will be amplified under high RPM thus wearing out your components quickly, especially the bushing in your strut!

You should have just gotten an octura, would have gotten u better performance and lighter material! :/
As to ur question, I agree with tlaunder, u should definently balance it!!!

The Miss Geico and the Blackjack use the same stock cable.

I would get a kintec or ose shaft. Much better quality. They are all the same size.

What balance stand is recommended and does anybody have any tips on balancing the prop?

when you don't know how to balance :try a graupner carbon prop or a cnc prop and be surprised

using 40 mm gaupner k-prop in my geico with stock motor on 5s :they cost about 3€ /4$ and are very good :-)

See picture in post#68, that is how the ProBoat prop is after balanced/polished/sharpened(thinned).
I agree that if you have not done this before, get a Graupner K-prop. If you are running everything stock with 4s, you can get a 42mm prop, even a 44mm can be tried.

I am probably gonna stick with the stock prop because I already got one. I just need a prop balancer.

any prop balancer will work,I personally use du bro true spin balancer, when you balance just take material off the rear of the blade as the front gives you the thrust, prop I suggest is the prather 220 even the 225 these are harder props to balance as the material is harder but they also fair better if you hit something in the water also if you want to take the time you can make these props thinner so making them lighter as they are made out of stainless steel. When you have the prop balanced the blades should stay in the same place, then you turn the prop 180 deg and it should do the same if it moves then its not balanced so you will have to remove material from the blade that moves to the bottom, once you have it just so you will be good to go. If your not sure what your doing I suggest you buy one balanced from either here at offshore or from a guy on here who goes by the nick of dasboata his work is top shelf.

Can someone just link me the OSE flex cable. This is turning into a PITA.

To polish the prop, I used a combination of of my Dremel with the scotchbrite type wheel, 800 grit sandpaper and finally the felt disc in my dremel with some jewelers rouge. Its a work in progress, but its coming along nicely. The stainless prop material is much harder than a beryllium prop, and takes considerably longer to work.

Dremel works great for polishing, but I'm a big fan of nevr-dull polish in the can.
