eBay. Picked up an as-new Garmin Forerunner 201 for $51 shipped last week. Small, light, accurate.

I use a hobbyking (also branded as voltron) GPS data logger. Its accurate for boating, as long as you don't induce any high G spin outs. Otherwise its great and very accurate plus super light and small (about the size of a lighter). Cheap too, about $70 bucks. I got mine off ebay since HK is out of stock on them.

I use a SKYRC GPS Speed Meter GSM-010

Love it, a bit bigger than the Voltron, but more versatile as I fly as well.
It has also trip and altitude data (current & peak), plus a cool logging feature with Google Earth.

They go for about 70-80 bucks.
