Hi folks,

Just got a PB mg 29 v2. What's the range on the spectrum radio like?

Cheers,

BJ

It's not bad! At least from when I used mine, it went wherever I had it go! Pretty far sometimes to show others! XD

Most I have run it to is maybe 60m away, no issues..... Yet

Starting to find at around 70-80m the boat cuts out. Goes to default full rudder and no throttle.

It's all the standard gear so the receiver has twin antennas. One runs towards the front of the boat in the corner of the battey tray and the other is mounted out the rear antenna tube. I have purposely put the hull-internal arial on the opposite side to all power leads to reduce chance of noise

Just had my mg29 on a bigger pond, and found the same thing .... it cuts out at ~ 75 yards, or so. Stock 2 antenna receiver, good batteries in radio. Interesting, though, my Revolt, stock, without antenna, didn't cut out ???

2nd....My Tatic radio that came with my Revolt same deal pretty good for a very cheap radio. I bought a second one for a boat I am building.

After changing esc and running a separate battery pack I now get a lot better range, over 100m
