I have the model but am looking for the hardware and electronic to convert it over to RC specifically would like to have a
forward and reverseing ESC with Lipolys or life cells and brushless motors? Also multi-channel radio on 2.4 Futaba .

a link to the model kit:

it looks like several people started build threads on this boat on rcgroups.com, but it appears all the build threads kind of died off before anyone actually finished this and showed how well it performs (or not)

i plan on building this myself, with three brushless motors/lipos etc as the original. I have already selected my motors and ESCs for the build, but haven't started on it yet. I will be using himaxx HC2212-1180, and losi micro-T esc:

although these motors and ESC are small, the boat itself is only 27" long, there will be three of them powering it, and you should only need 10-15mph for scale speeds. a single 2200 mah 2 cell battery should be enough to power all three motors.

haven't yet checked out what i am going to do specifically for propellers, but i will be using 2mm propshafts and stuffing boxes from cornwall model boats.
