I have multiple things going on at the same time right now and thought I would post up some details. I have a friend that has a great shop and all the materials you could think of on hand. Plus he has the skills and know how to build almost anything, so I have been spending some time in there getting some work done.

First up is MG that had the battery mounts pull out durring a flip which split the seam all the way down one side. I had it running with a CC 1515 and T180, which is almost to much power for it, but its fun to run. I pulled everything off the hull and cleaned up where the battery trays were. I put strips of glass on both sides of the inside of the hull on the seams, to re-enforce the good side and repair the broken one. Followed up the broken side with some filler in the same and a layer of glass on the outside. Finishing to come with paint, custom carbon battery trays and a coat of epoxy on the inside.

After the crash I picked up another MG of Craigslist. This one got totally stripped and is getting full carbon inlay and a new motor mount and battery trays. This one will be running my CC set up and will be way more robust. The repaired boat will get the stock set up for friends to drive as there isn't much boating where I am and it would be nice to get out with someone else once and while.

The other one on the go I picked up a while ago, my Proboat Miss Budweiser. I was pumped to pick this up as I used to want one of these pretty badly when I was younger. I have stripped it right out and it got a carbon inlay, two layers which really stiffened it up, then full FE conversion with new hardware. The holes in the transom got filled then got a layer of glass which will get painted. I am not building this for top speed, more of a show piece to drive for fun and look good. It will need some pair touch ups when I am all done, I may just paint the whole thing if I can find decals.

Looking good, like seeing the conversions. It is a good looking hull. And,psst,BTW MonoJeff has the Decals as I just got a set.

And that must've been a good flip for that crack in the Gieco

He does?? Thats good to know!! I may just re paint the whole boat then! There were a couple little spots that needs to be repaired which I was going to blend. Thanks for the tip!

It wasn't a very exciting flip really - it broke because the battery tray broke loose only from one side and stayed glued to the outside of the hull which torqued on it.

The new geico is almost ready to go
